Amber Spirit

What is amber?

About 60 million years ago, vast forests of prehistoric pine trees grew where the Baltic Sea is today. The climate was warm, humid, and the forests were home to many different types of life that survived the extinction of the dinosaurs.

As a cure for injuries caused by lightning, storms, pests or disease, pine trees produced large amounts of sticky resin to seal the wounded areas. Every day, the resin slowly flowed to the forest floor, where it was carried away by seasonal rivers and eventually covered by many layers of soil. The climate cooled, forcing the extinction of the pines but the resin remained buried underground and slowly hardened into amber stones. Over millions of years, what was once forest became sea and strong currents, rivers and glaciers carried amber deposits to the eastern shores of the Baltic Sea.

It's amazing that we can hold in our hands something as old as dinosaurs.

These small stones have stood the test of time and contain the incredible energy of nature. That's why since the dawn of man, amber has been known for its power to heal, relieve pain, and reduce stress.

And especially to keep fleas and ticks away from dogs and cats!

How does the amber collar work?

Amber contains natural essential oils. The resinous smell of amber, which ticks do not like, resulting from the friction of the amber with the pet's fur is responsible for the tick feeling uncomfortable.

By the way, ticks can smell! They don't have a nose like ours, but they do have an organ called the "haller organ" located on their front legs. This organ helps the tick pick up the scent of a potential victim.

Amber also repels fleas and ticks electrostatically.

When amber rubs against the animal's fur, a mild static electric charge is created, which deters fleas and ticks in dogs and cats.

It is completely imperceptible to the animal, but gives a shock to the tick or flea.

It usually takes about three weeks or more of wearing the necklace to get maximum results. The longer your pet wears the amber stone, the better the scent can diffuse into their fur, the more statically charged the fur is, and the better and more effective flea and tick repellency is.

It is important for us to note that there is no protection against fleas and ticks that works 100%, whether chemical or natural, and this is also a fact regarding our amber collars.

The vast majority of our customers, approximately 95%, are very satisfied, but we would like to be fair and not withhold this information from you.

In any case, it's worth a try!

How to get the most out of your amber collar

Let us give you a few recommendations from our experience:

  • For maximum results, we recommend washing the collar once every two weeks, so the collar works best as a natural flea and tick repellent.

  • Wash the collar in warm soapy water, leave to dry overnight or dry for about an hour in the sunlight.

  • Don't worry if a few stones fall out, the collar is equally effective with 70% of the stones.

  • Leave the amber collar on your pet at all times. The longer the collar is on your pet, the more effective it becomes.
